3 pounds of castile laundry soap is 48 ounces. Since an average load of laundry needs just an ounce of our laundry soap powder, a 3-pound bag will last you about 48 loads.
> We also offer our laundry soap in one pound bag samples (16 oz.) if you’d like to try it out first.
Ingredients: Our laundry soap powder is a combination of washing soda, borax, baking soda, and shavings of our traditional castile olive oil soap (olive oil, lye, water).
– Select Unscented or an Essential Oil to keep the laundry soap all natural. We offer high-quality fragrance oil scents as well, but fragrance oils are not biodegradable or all-natural.
NOTE: The scent on your laundry afterward is not super strong or overwhelming. If you would like a heavier scent load, add a note to your order or use a few drops of oil on an organic wool dryer ball.
Directions for Use:
> Add one tablespoon of powder directly to the top of laundry in the washer for a medium load.
> Use two tablespoons of powder for a heavy load.
> Use up to 1/4 cup for a particularly heavy, nasty, greasy load.
> I have never had to use a fabric softener with this laundry soap. My clothes, towels, and sheets always come out soft and clean. But if you feel that you should use something, use 1/4 cup of white vinegar. A cheap and natural fabric softener!
